The Haven exists to enhance the quality of life for individuals by encouraging independence, championing inclusion and advocating for individual rights. Together, we can create a world where people with disabilities are included and celebrated for who they truly are — talented and incredible human beings. We make it a point to select positive, compassionate, hard-working individuals who enjoy giving back to their community in a rewarding and purposeful environment. We invite you to join our cause and connect with others in our community who are working to make a difference.
We’re excited to feature VP of Day Services Sierra Ebersole!
What do you love most about The Haven?
I love the environment at The Haven. The first time I visited the campus, I knew that this was the place for me. There is so much love and support everywhere you turn; you can see it and feel it! It is impossible to be unhappy when you are surrounded by so many wonderful people.
Tell us about your favorite funny Haven story!
The first week I worked here, I walked outside to get something from my car. As I was walking out, a group was walking by. I did not know any of them at the time, but one of the women shouted from across the field “I don’t even know your name, but I love you!” I looked around and realized that she was talking to me. I had to laugh meet her!
Tell us a little bit about yourself!
I am a Sarasota native and a graduate of the University of North Florida. I taught middle school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Emotional and Behavioral Disorders for a few years prior to working at The Haven. My husband and I met through coaching baseball at Miracle League and we are both still involved with the league. We enjoy being outdoors and hanging out together as a family.
